How We Protect the Community

Trust, not conformity. Share mistakes, discuss failures, disagree respectfully and ask hard questions — safely.

Our Trust Principles

  1. 1. Help first.
  2. 2. Be honest about your experience.
  3. 3. Disclose financial interests.
  4. 4. Protect confidentiality.
  5. 5. Do not pressure people.
  6. 6. Respect professional boundaries.
  7. 7. Ask permission before sharing information.
  8. 8. Take responsibility for what you say and do.

What the Labels Mean

Labels explain role and verification only. They are not achievement badges, and we never rank members by popularity. Tap any label for details.

Help First.

Pass It On is not a lead harvesting platform. Paid services are always labeled, and anyone recommending something they profit from must disclose it. Not allowed:

  • Repeated unsolicited sales messages
  • Pressuring members during vulnerable business situations
  • Using mentorship primarily to sell services
  • Harvesting contact information
  • Misleading claims
  • Pretending paid services are free help
  • Repeated unwanted follow-up

What is shared privately stays private.

  • Do not screenshot private information
  • Do not repost member challenges
  • Do not share anyone's financial information
  • Do not disclose confidential business information
  • Do not publicly identify someone's private challenge — unless they gave permission

Professional Boundaries

This community guidance is educational and experience-based. Consider consulting an appropriately licensed professional for advice specific to your situation.

Introductions Need Both People's Consent

No phone number, email or contact detail is shared until both members accept: Introduction Suggested → Member A Accepts → Member B Accepts → Connection Opens.

If Something Feels Wrong

Use Report a Concern on the profile, service, listing, Hot Seat, contribution, connection or chapter activity. Your identity is not shared with the person you report. A person at Pass It On Central reviews every report — no one is penalized automatically, and serious safety or legal concerns go straight to Central. Members signed in can manage their credentials and requests in the Trust Center.

Member joins → Role is clear → Experience is documented → Verification where needed → Help is given → Boundaries are clear → Members can report concerns → Humans review → Trust is protected → Pass it on
