Pass It On recommends books and resources because we believe they help business owners build, grow, lead, and pass it on. Education always comes first. A book is never listed because of what it pays.
Some of the purchase links on this site are affiliate links — most often through Amazon, Bookshop.org, or a publisher's own store. If you buy through one of those links, the seller may pay Pass It On a small commission. Your price does not change.
Any commission earned goes back into the mission: hosting meetings, producing resources, and funding mentorship for owners who could not otherwise pay for it.
We track how many members click a book link so we know which resources are actually useful. We never receive or store your purchase details, payment information, or order history.
You are always free to buy a book anywhere you like — your library, a local bookstore, or a used copy. The point is that you read it and apply it.
Help stays help
Peer help, Hot Seats, Challenges, member experience sharing, basic mentorship and community support are free and never turn into sales. Every paid or commercial option is labeled: Free Peer Help, Free Mentorship, Paid Member Service, Affiliate Resource, Sponsored Resource, Event Sponsor or Partner.
Sponsors and partners
Approved sponsors may receive a logo, a thank-you, or a sponsor table at an event. They cannot influence Hot Seats, mentoring, challenge solutions, member matching or Ask Pass It On answers. When a business funds a resource, it is marked “Sponsored Resource” and Pass It On keeps final say over the content.
Paid member services
Members who offer paid services (CPAs, attorneys, consultants and others) are shown as Paid Member Services, separate from mentors. If a member recommends a service they provide, or Pass It On receives a fee, that is disclosed on the listing.
No pay-to-rank
Nobody ranks higher in recommendations, Who Can Help Me, Mentor Matching or Ask Pass It On because they pay. Recommendations are based on usefulness and relevance.
PASS IT ON DOES NOT SELL MEMBER DATA. Sponsors and partners never receive member profiles, emails, phone numbers, financial data, challenges, mentor conversations, Hot Seat notes or usage history without your explicit permission.
Support Pass It On
Pass It On exists to help business owners learn, grow, connect, and pass what they learn forward. Voluntary support (one-time, monthly, or sponsoring a resource, event or chapter) may be offered in the future. It is always optional, and basic help is never tied to giving.
